Extrakt Travel GmbH - Betreute Fotosafaris in Afrika & weltweite Angelexpeditionen

The Extrakt Exclusiv Travel Ltd. was founded by Andreas Knausenberger on the 04.11.2011. At this time we where specialized in organizing fishing trips to Kenya, Florida and Cuba. At that time we've been working in that niche market for tropical fishing trips and it doesn't took long to grow. During a fishing fare, Frank Knossalla a destination manager of Andree's Angelreisen contacted us for a possible partnership. We met later on in Niedernhausen and finalized a sales partnership for our fishing expeditions. This was the time the programm "Andree's Expeditions" was born.

The following year we extended in the name of Andree's Angelreisen our fishing destinations and got the sole agency for several countries for the german speaking market including Kenya, Uganda and Madagascar. We travelled the first time in December 2011 and January 2012 to Uganda to see the Mountain Gorillas and Chimpz and fish for the huge nile perch at Murchison Falls. An epic trip which none of us will ever forget. We also published for Andree's Angelreisen the first Andree's Expeditions VOL catalogue and realized our first photography workshop in cooperation with Photo Planet Stuttgart in the Masai Mara. Here our clients experienced the amazing Migration and been able to take pictures of a life time.

This year we've been contacted by SIGMA Germany after we pitched our idea of an exclusive photographic safari to them. It did not take long to work out the first SIGMA Photography Safari which was been held in August in the Masai Mara, Kenya. This exclusive workshop was sold out straight away and the 16 clients had a wonderful time and learned everything about wildlife photography in Africa. We also developed some more fishing expeditions to South America and we visited Venezuela for the first time to catch the legendary Payara and Peacock Bass.

2014 we realized the 2nd SIGMA Photography Workshop and we also did some exclusive private guided workshops in Africa. We also discovered some new amazing destinations for the Andree's Angelreisen fishing programme. We went the first time to Suriname in July, followed by our first Amazon expedition in Peru and a three week journey to Komodo and West Papua. The 2nd edition of the Andree's Angelreisen catalogue "Andree's Expeditions" was published and we finalized the year with holding our sailfish seminar in Malindi, Kenya. The fishing expeditions grew more and more and therefore Florian Rosenheimer joined as our first fishing guide to the team.

This year we tried something new for our SIGMA Photography Workshop. This workshop was held in the Masai Mara and the Amboseli National Park. This gave our repeat clients the chance of seeing some new areas in Kenya including the mighty Kilimanjaro. In October we went to see Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia. As we are always looking for new amazing photography destination, we found some nice partners and cool locations for our future programs. Right after our return we went for an exclusive guided photography safari to Lake Elementaita and the Masai Mara where we had a blast of a week. We extended the fishing expeditions to Colombia, Panama and Vanuatu and the Andree's Aneglreisen "Andree's Expeditions" catalogue part was integrated the first time into the main Andree's Angelreisen catalogue and printed in 40.000 copies. Finally we went back to Uganda in January to see and photograph the Mountain Gorillas and fish for the huge nile perch at Murchison Falls. Right after our return we went to our new arapaima expedition into the dense amazon of Ecuador which was a huge success for the anglers. We also added for Andree's Angelreisen a new catamaran expedition into the north of Madagascar into their existing fishing programm. The first expedition took place in March with a total of eight clients on two catamarans. Our first trip to Panama in May was also amazing. With a total of 16 clients we went to the legendary tuna coast to fish for the huge yellow fin tuna, roosterfish, cubera and jacks. For the first time our SIGMA Photography Workshop took place in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. We also had two more photography workshops with our South African partners in September 2016. And last but not least we will flew to Vanuatu in October.
